The “C” in NAC also stands for “Community”
By statute, Friends of NACO is an Association. By membership, Friends is a community.
Through events and activities, Friends is a space where music lovers meet, and come to embrace, share and develop a common passion.
Founded at the same time as the NAC Orchestra, some 40 years ago, Friends has been connecting music and people ever since.
Today, Members of Friends:
- enjoy a privileged access to the NAC and its orchestra;
- participate in special musical or artistic events with members of the orchestra, invited performers, guests and other music celebrities;
- raise funds and organize community projects and events to exchange ideas, information, and music;
- act as volunteers at the NAC and alongside the NAC Orchestra on youth and education projects in schools, libraries, and community centres;
- and share wide and far their enjoyment for music and the celebration of life.
It is easy to join Friends. Just as easy as listening to a Podcast, switching on the iPod, turning on the radio, or putting a vintage record on the Grammophone.
